Story
The day is 18th August 1940 and the Luftwaffe have launched a resurgent attack on Britain. Your air base has been hit by the first wave of heavy bombing. As the only survivors, you must access the strategic ops room and mobilise the full force of the RAF to save Britain. But with a second attack imminent, can you also save yourselves?
Before the escape
This was a second escape room at the venue, we had previously completed 'Roll out the barrel' and was impressed with the amount and range of puzzles in the room. We had Django our game master who was enthusiastic and explained the types of locks in the room and that the room was not linear. He explained the interesting twist, we not only need to escape in time but there is also a point scoring system. We were really excited to get into the escape room as the last one we had completed was 4 months ago.
The great escape
All of the puzzles in the room were true to theme, there were no leaps of logics with any of the puzzles. The escape room was really impressive.
We managed to score 61 points, not complete Victory but we were really happy with our score and had so much fun. Django went through the puzzles that we didn't get at the end which would of got us to the full score. We didn't ask for any clues but if we spent far too long on a red herring, a voice completing in theme with the room would let us know to move on. The end bit of the game was fun and a great conclusion to an awesome escape room.
The verdict
We throughly enjoyed the escape room and is definitely one of our favourites to date, we have done 2 out of 3 escapes rooms Escape Plan and this is my favourite so far. There were so many different types of puzzles and easily enough for a large group to do, this may be a bit more challenging for a team of 2 to do, simply because of the amount of puzzles. The rooms were in great condition, as were the puzzles, a mix of traditional lock and key, pins, kinetic puzzles and technology puzzles.
All the employees at Escape Plan are passionate about what they do, we rate the puzzles, venue and employees highly. We can't wait to come back and complete 'The Adventure Begins', it also looks like they have new one coming called 'Pushed for Time ' later in 2024.
